Summary: Juan Balucas at ang Bayabas is a story inspired by the popular tales of Juan Tamad. The main character, Juan Balucas, is the son of Juan Tamad, who has been turned into stone by a mystical bird called Badarna. To save his father, Juan must obtain the song of Badarna and some water from the Well of Life before the full moon passes. Juan sets off on his quest with the help of an engkanto named Apo and a nuno sa punso named Noni. Along the way, he must face challenges such as the dreaded King Crab Sipit and the Kapre Tambo. After saving his father, Juan finds himself stuck in a purgatory between two dimensions. He struggles to keep his sanity and find food while under a dead guava tree. What he does next will determine his fate.
